Nurses to rally on Saturday.

Tōpūtanga Tapuhi Kaitiaki o Aotearoa | New Zealand Nurses Organisation are organising community rallies up and down Aotearoa this Saturday, to call on politicians to commit to more nurses and better pay.

The campaign - Maranga Mai! – Rise up! We need nurses! – says “our health system is in crisis. People are not getting the health care they need due to massive shortages of nurses and other health care workers in hospitals and the community. Even worse, the nurses and health care workers we do have aren't properly valued for the amazing work they do.”

NZNO is encouraging communities and induvial members of the public to join them to “get the health system we deserve.”

The rallies are billed as community-friendly events where whānau and children are welcome.
