Maranga Ake – Fight Back Together tomorrow.
Oct. 22, 2024
Hau Taki Haere | Tertiary Update Vol 28, No 19
Tomorrow, the CTU and the TEU, along with most of Aotearoa’s unionised workforce, will stand up and fight back together – Maranga Ake.
Don’t forget, there is a lot at stake.
Aotearoa needs to invest in our infrastructure and our future – our public transport, our schools, our hospitals, our care economy, our science community, our Kaupapa Māori services and, crucially for you and all of the above, our wānanga, polytechnics, and universities.
Instead, the current government has been wasting time and resources attacking Te Tiriti, the environment, the poor, and the disabled. They are prioritising the tobacco industry, property developers, and big corporates over scientists, teachers, students, and communities.
It’s time to make your voice heard. Stand with thousands of other union members and demand better for tertiary education and for Aotearoa.
