Make a difference with Grants for Good.

Over the last four years, HealthCarePlus’s Grants for Good Programme has distributed over $550,000 in charitable grants. And in 2025 there is well in excess of $200,000 of funding available which will provide a significant step towards making funding for educational projects, training and professional development even more accessible to everyday New Zealanders.

One of the successful initiatives funded in 2023 was Kura Wānanga: a Māori-led leadership series empowering rangatahi Māori in Wellington.

Through three transformative wānanga, the team at the Wellington Boys' and Girls' Institute (BGI) has been nurturing identity and resilience among year 12 and 13 students, supported by Grants for Good.

Participants are discovering pride in who they are, where they are from and where they are going. The project has helped build vital leadership skills, paving the way for a stronger community.
