Joint membership with ASMS now live.

Two months ago we reported that Te Hautū Kahurangi | Tertiary Education has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Toi Mata Hauora | Association of Salaried Medical Specialists to enable joint membership of both unions for medical academics – those employed by universities and who also work clinically for Te Whatu Ora.

This move enables them to sign one membership form, pay the ASMS membership fee, and belong to both unions for the price of one.

This enables medical academic staff to have their employment matters and academic professional issues taken care of by TEU while their professional issues as medical practitioners are handled by ASMS.

The administrative forms and systems for joint membership have now gone live. Medical academics can now join both unions here: https://asms.org.nz/join/
