Academic Freedom Conference – Exciting programme set!.

The programme has been set for Te Hautū Kahurangi | Tertiary Education Union’s second online Academic Freedom Conference on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 November 2024.

The conference looks to examine the state of academic freedom in Aotearoa and ways in which staff and students can push back against attacks on academic freedom.

Speakers include:

Alison Barnes – National Tertiary Education Union (Australia)
Assoc. Prof Andrew Bonnell – University of Queensland
David Robinson – Canadian Association of University Teachers
Sonia Grigt – Education International
Professor Sir Peter Gluckman – Chair of the University Advisory Group.
