Everyone deserves secure, stable employment and tertiary education unions across the world are fighting for it. To strengthen our work here in Aotearoa, we can learn a great deal from those who are winning real change.
Join us for a special online hui to hear how academic tutors at the University of Melbourne organised to win more secure, stable employment.
Former University of Melbourne academic tutors Michael Graham and Ben Kunkler led a major organising effort to reduce the use of precarious contracts and expand secure work for tutors. In this webinar, they’ll share how they built power, the strategies that worked, and what it took to shift their university toward more secure employment.
Following a short presentation, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and reflect on how their experiences might inform TEU campaigns here at home.
