Tertiary Education Union Council and National Elections for 2023.

The TEU national elections have been running since June of this year with a new Tumu Whakarae | National President elected, Julie Douglas (AUT), and three VP’s – David Kenkel (Unitec) Industrial and Professional Committee, Jael Reiri (EIT) National Women’s Committee and Te Tumu Arataki Hūhana Wātene (Unitec).

The second round of nominations has now closed with one remaining ballot to be held before the end of 2022. This is for the second Under 35 position on Council. This ballot will open on 15 December and close on 22 December 2022. There are two candidates for this position, Nathan Chicken (Lincoln University) and Rebecca Swindells (Otago Polytechnic). Tertiary Education Union U35 members are eligible to vote in this election.
