National General Meeting.

Te Hautū Kahurangi | Tertiary Education Union’s first ever online National General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 19 June from 2-4pm.

When TEU adopted our new constitution in 2023, members decided to separate the “AGM” from conference to enable more time at conference for other business and more members to attend the general meeting.

The purpose of the National General Meeting, as set out in our constitution, is to confirm the minutes of the previous NGM; receive and adopt the National Report; receive a presentation of the audited accounts of the union and approve the auditor for the year; propose any rules and policy or amendments or advancement at either National Conference or Council; and consider any other general business of the union.

If you are interested in attending as an official delegate, please contact your branch or network advisory as they have been sent all delegate registration information. In addition, the meeting will be broadcast live on our Facebook page for any member who wishes to observe the meeting but not attend in an official capacity.

If you have any questions or queries, please reach out to teu@teu.ac.nz.
