Elections update: New Vice Presidents elected, nominations open for all other positions.

Our national elections to determine the composition of our Council and national committees are continuing.

We are happy to announce the election of our four Vice Presidents for 2026 and 2027:

- Te Awatea Ward (Massey University) – Vice President, Industrial & Professional Committee (Māori)

- Huhana Watene (Unitec) – Vice President, National Women’s Committee (Māori)

- Hannah Jenkin (Victoria University) – Vice President, National Women’s Committee (Tiriti)

- Antonia Verstappen (University of Auckland) – Vice President, Industrial and Professional Committee (Tiriti)

Nominations opened a week ago for all remaining positions on Council, National Women’s Committee, and the Industrial and Professional Committee. There are numerous positions with no nominees to date so there’s a lot of great opportunities to serve for those who wish to do so.
