Hau Taki Haere | Tertiary Update Vol 29, No 14
It’s election time in Te Hautū Kahurangi | Tertiary Education Union.
Nominations for our Tumu Whakarae – Tiriti | National President – Tiriti and Tumu Whakarae – Māori | National President – Māori have closed and there are five candidates vying for the honour of co-leading us for the next two years.
For Tumu Whakarae – Māori | National President – Māori we have Garrick Cooper and Jody Takimoana. For Tumu Whakarae – Tiriti | National President – Tiriti we have Craig Marshall, Steve McCabe, and Ti Lamusse.
All members will have the opportunity to vote in an electronic ballot that will open on Thursday 14 August and close on Thursday 21 August.
To help you have your say, we’ve compiled a Tertiary Update election special! We asked all five candidates the same five questions:
- Please introduce yourself
- Why are you standing?
- What will you bring to the role?
- What do you hope to achieve if elected?
- How will you contribute to the implementation of TEU’s goals?
Here are their responses!
