Te Hautū Kahurangi | Tertiary Education Union has updated our COVID-19 position paper in light of developments in the sector since our last update in early February.
The advisory is intended to set out our expectations for employer actions in response to the current outbreak and be available for members, branches, and TEU staff to use as a guide to what should be happening and hold their institutions accountable.
Key updates include clarification of the requirement for all activities that can be done from home (online) should be, and that “staff, in consultation with their manager, must be empowered and enabled to make decisions about whether being on-campus is critical to their work, their learners, and the institution.”
The advice can be found here.
