Lisa Mullions - AUT.

“Lisa Mullions has been the TEU Woman’s representative during 2023 at AUT University in the unique position of being an Allied staff member. Lisa has recently been supporting the Academic Collective Agreement bargaining team at AUT. Lisa has attended all of the women’s union meetings for the 2023 year; the TEU National Women’s Hui, the NZCTU Women’s Hui and has been actively contributing whakaaro, support and promotion of the Stand for Equity campaign for allied staff. Lisa is passionate about women, is a chair of the AUT University women’s staff network, staunch advocate and ally to mana wāhine Māori, wāhine Pasifika (identifying as Sāmoan, Grandparents villages Vaisiagno, Savai’i and Togafu’ afua’a, Apia). The TEU Branch President at AUT shares that “Lisa has been inspirational. Lisa has a wealth of knowledge and passion that has enabled her to be appreciated and trusted amongst her community of woman and Pasifika. Lisa will be greatly missed from the Woman’s rep at AUT but equally happy that Lisa remains as our Pasifika representative.” It would be a privilege to be in service to the TEU union movement for 2024, and support colleagues within the tertiary sector as vast and sweeping changes impact employment and livelihoods.
