Nominations open for Tumu Whakarae.

Te Hautū Kahurangi | Tertiary Education Union’s 2022 national elections are gathering momentum with the opening of nominations for the position of Tumu Whakarae | National President.

Tumu Whakarae is a full time position, based in Wellington. The holder of this office is responsible for leading our national strategic direction, chairing the National Council, which is the governing body of our union between conferences, and chairing Annual Conference.

Nominations for Tumu Whakarae close at 5.00 pm on Wednesday 27 July 2022.

Meanwhile, nominations for Te Toi Ahurangi remain open until 29 July for all positions except Te Tumu Arataki (Vice President Māori), which closes on 23 August.
