Kia ora koutou katoa.

The New Zealand Union of Students’ Associations (NZUSA) is running a
campaign to restore the Postgraduate Student Allowance. After months of
gathering signatures and socializing the issue around the country, our
penultimate event is next week. Here’s the details –

Where? Parliament Lawn

When? Thursday 11th April, 12.30 – 1.30

What? Speeches, Petition Handover, Politicians and FREE FOOD!

Otago University Students’ Association is also running a parallel event at
the same time, contact Dermot Frengley at Postgrad@ousa.org.nz for more
information (likely in front of the Clock Tower, TBC).

How can you help?

  • We would absolutely love it if as many people as possible were present
on Parliament Lawn on the 11th at 12.30pm
  • We are also interested in finding an academic to speak in amongst a few
students and politicians. We are hoping that this academic can speak on
behalf of the issues they see before them with their students they are
supervising, etc. Contact President@students.org.nz if you are interested in this.

Ngā mihi nui e hoa mā,

James
