Speak up for community-based tertiary education

National is trying to change the law to require Ministers to give the exact same funding to profit-driven firms as tertiary education institutions established to serve the public good.

Subsidising private companies with public funds intended for polytechnics, universities and wānanga could see public institutions and local communities lose out to companies that prioritise profit over education.
