ITP MECA Bargaining 2009 – Update # 6
25 September 2009
Yahoo!!!!!
Congratulations to all of you who have taken part in industrial action over the last week and a half.” The strength of your action and commitment to maintaining your terms and conditions of employment and a fair pay increase is fantastic, and resolve is strengthening as time goes on.
Your negotiating team has decided that there will be no industrial action over the next two weeks during the student break.” We encourage you all to use your discretionary leave during this time, in whatever way YOU want to.
Your team will be working over this period on ongoing strategy and planning – both for ongoing industrial action, and for ways to make progress in bargaining.” There may also be some campaign activities at your workplace and local areas.” So if you are in and around your workplace over the next fortnight, look out for messages from your negotiating team representative or me.
Otherwise, enjoy a well-deserved break from industrial action over the next two weeks and REMEMBER TO DIAL THE 0800 NUMBER ON THE SUNDAY BEFORE TERM 4 STARTS (11 October)
Kia kaha and solidarity
